Energy & Sports Drinks = Tooth Decay

A new study showed that these drinks (and lemonade!) can be worse for the health of your teeth than even cola.
Sports and energy drinks are even more abrasive on tooth enamel than tea and
cola drinks. That's the surprising message from J. Anthony von Fraunhofer,
director of biomaterials research at the University of Maryland Dental School in
Baltimore.
Who knew?

First human to human bird flu case confirmed

The World Health Organization was able to confirm the transmission of the H5N1 bird flu virus from human to human. The Indonesian man contracted it from his 10 year old son and died shortly after.

The WHO investigators also discovered that the virus had mutated slightly when the son contracted the disease, although not in any way that would allow it to pass more easily among people. Flu viruses like H5N1 mutate constantly and most of the mutations are insignificant biologically, as appears to have been the case in the Indonesian cluster

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman tie the knot down under

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have finally tied the knot down in Australia. The couple wed to night in a candle lit ceremony. The two look wonderfully in love.

The all-candlelight ceremony took place just after sundown Sunday night at Sydney, Australia's Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel on St. Patrick's Estate at Manly.
Guests at the black-tie event included Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and Rupert Murdoch.

Kidman's wedding party consisted of her sister Antonia, who was her maid of honor, and daughter Isabella, 13, who was her bridesmaid. Antonia's daughter, Lucia, was a flower girl. On the groom's side were Urban's brother Shane, who served as best man, and longtime buddy Marlon Holden, who produced Urban's first solo album in 1991. posted 9:18am by jholmes

Dog-gone Days of Summer

This dog sure has some good taste. The sad part is that the Cardinals have been playing like dogs the past two weeks. I am very glad that Albert Pujols is back and in the lineup.

Clay Aiken

Anyone hearing all the rumors about Clay Aiken and his ex-lover? Is this believable? This ex-lover appears to be a jerk loser all the way over.

Too Hungry to Strike

Saddam Hussein has ended his hunger strike after missing just one meal according to prison officials in Iraq. I guess we won't be getting Saddam confused with Gandhi anytime soon.

Kevin Spenderline is trying to save the Penny

Kevin Federline is backing and supporting an effort to save the penny. No joke! There is way too much irony in this. Maybe Kevin has a sense of humor after all.

In an effort to promote its new text messaging service that allows customers to send messages for only a penny, Virgin Mobile said it would begin collecting signatures for a "Save the Penny" petition to convince lawmakers to save the single-cent piece from possible extinction.

Kevin Federline lent his support for the penny at a press conference on Wednesday. "I feel good about the penny," said Federline, speaking to a crowd of reporters and onlookers from the center of Times Square, before signing his name to the petition.

Nicole putting the pre-nup on Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman has learned a thing or two from former business partner Tom Cruise. Kidman is making rocker Keith Urban sign a pre-nup before taking the plunge down the aisle. It looks like Keith is going to have to behave.

This is just not any run of your mill prenup, while Keith Urban would receive a certain amount per year that he is married to the actress, there is also a get out clause. Any settlement becomes null and
void is Keith Urban, uses illegal drugs or alcohol to excess.

The country singer has had to sign a pre-nuptial agreement earning him £350,000 for every year he is with the actress.

The agreement was signed in Los Angeles before the pair flew to Australia where they plan to marry on Sunday. It also says they will have joint custody of any children they have together. But Urban, 38, would be banned from taking them out of the country in which Miss Kidman lives.

Britney Spears goes Black

Britney Spears has gone black. Her hair that is. I believe it looks good and is a nice change from her bad bleach job. She probably feels as if she can hid under that dark mop and go unnoticed. Oh wait she is Britney Spears. That might not be so easy. Discuss on the Bumpshack Message Board. posted 10:57am by jholmes
